EU's position in resolving the decades long Balkan issue is being created over the negotiation table. The motion created by the German delegation to distinguish between the facilitator and mediator roles in Kosovo and FYROM conflicts. The delegation called for no direct involvement in the Western Balkans. No singular opinion prevails, however.
The strong positions of Spain, Slovakia and Cyprus towards the Kosovo and Greek perceptions of the FYROM are causing the potential draft to crumble. The debate seems to be circling around the same topics without resolution. The delegates are working under strained conditions and time shortage. The primary draft should be available in a couple of hours, which seems to be highly complicated to achieve. A number of informal discussions are on-going despite the time shortage.
The Front National leader issued an official written statement:
" Yesterday you published anonymous accusations which "prove" that I have received a bribe from some multinational company. It is clear that these accusations are false and that the check is forged. We are an anti globalist party opposing the interests of multinational corporations and opposing the institutions of the new world order, including the European Union. It is clear that this action is aimed at hurting the credibility of Front National; the highest institutions are involved in this counterfeiting affair, including the President of the EU Parliament. We hope that liars and criminals who work against the interest of the French people will end up in jail."
The BEUM Herald approached the Head of State for the United Kingdom, David Cameron, to further discuss European member states’ accusations that the UK has not fully integrated in the European Union from a social and political standpoint. Prime Minister Cameron strongly opposed the idea that the United Kingdom only participates in the European Union to heighten British economic growth, condemning an accusation that he views as an alarming error:
“This accusation is deeply concerning, and in fact has as much truth to it as to claiming that Germany is the smallest contributor to the EU. In fact, the UK’s involvement and idea about the EU is that it is a special institution that is getting concerningly close to a ‘United States of Europe’. The UK has not only invested financially into the EU over the past decade, but also has contributed on many other aspects of this institution. The UK therefore condemns any of those accusations and believes this accusation to be a vital mistake”. by Kayle Crosson
Yesterday, after the coffee break in the afternoon, the President of the European Parliament, Constantin Murau, announced an involvement between a French politician and the private company Monsanto. In fact, there is talk of a secret agreement signed with a check of one hundred thousand euros.
After careful research undertaken by this redaction, it has been found that this politician is the leader of the far-right wing party Front National, Marine Le Pen. She has, however, denied all accusations and refuses to make any public statements.
Moreover, the leader of the Front National was under heavy attack yesterday by several European leaders for her overly nationalistic policy and stance on organic food. The revelations made today offer a clear light on the underlying reason behind her stance.
Council of the EU: Things were getting heated in the Council of the EU as Germany and France expressed their opposing points of view concerning the Directive. To be particular, it was the Minister of Germany who stated that he is quite certain that all members of the EU, apart from the UK and Denmark, voted upon the Directive referring to the transparency of payment two weeks ago. He strongly believes that France should be in favour of Article 5 of the Directive, which is why Germany accused France of being out of policy. On the other hand, France denied giving an answer about this controversy. Does this imply silent acceptance of this accusation?
